Rebates by Private Health funds for Clinical Hypnotherapy
Currently a number of private heath funds provide rebates for clinical hypnotherapy. If you belong to a private health fund we recommend that you check with your fund regarding your eligibility to claim on Clinical Hypnotherapy. There are some health funds that do not cover hypnotherapy at all whilst some others only rebate the services of a registered psychologist.
As there are many heath funds with varying levels of cover we cannot be expected to know whether you are able to claim or not so we encourage you to check with your fund. If you find you can claim then we are able to provide you with a health fund receipt at the endn of your appointment and you can then make your claim directly to your fund as we do not have Hicaps.
At present Clinical Hypnotherapy is not covered by Medicare.
Our details are lodged with various participating health funds by the Australian Hypnotherapist's Association (AHA). The AHA was the first association to successfully negotiate provider numbers specifically for hypnotherapists in Australia. If your health fund does not currently include hypnotherapy then please lobby your health fund directly so that you and other members of your fund can enjoy hypnotherapy rebates.
When you call us we can help you to verify if your private health fund has cover for hypnotherapy or not.
We do not have HICAPS but you may be entitled to a rebate on the cost of your visit if you have private health cover. Please discuss this at your time of booking and also it is important to personally give your private health fund a call to check if your cover includes Hypnotherapy prior to your appointment. We make a point not to tell anyone they are covered to claim from their health fund for Hypnotherapy, it is up to you to check.
